MELBOURNE, Fla. – Despite a great start, Florida Tech men's soccer could not put points on the board in a 2-0 loss to Barry.

STATS OF THE MATCH
- The Panthers' offense was cooking to begin the match, firing five shots in less than five minutes. Filippo Fazzi ripped two shots in the five taken.
- Barry withstood the Panthers' barrage of shots and opened the scoring 20 minutes later. A cross into the box found Scott Niel, who then tapped to his teammate Stefan Momcilovic for the goal.
- Both teams attempted to score two more times before the half ended. Jacopo Ghezzi had the best opportunity with a shot on goal in the 36th minute.
- Tech was aggressive again to start the second half, adding two more early shots.
- However, Barry would extend their lead in the 56th minute with another tapped pass from inside the box.
- The Panthers did everything they could the rest of the match to get back into the game. The team took 14 shots, five on-goal, and seven corner kicks but couldn't get on the board.
