MELBOURNE, FLA. – Florida Tech Panthers volleyball took the loss at home vs. No.23 Barry in three sets.

STATS OF THE MATCH:
First Set:
- The game would be delayed because the opposing coach refused to put his team on the court as the home fans were going nuclear (within the rules of the game of course).
- With the help of the home crowd, it would be the Panthers that would strike first in this one looking to start strong on the No. 23 Barry Bucs.
- The Bucs would respond with a 0-3 run to get involved in the set.
- Cordelia Kearns would register one kill, Chiara Patelli one kill, and Jeanna Hassoun an ace in the way of a (4-1) run that would have the Panthers tie things at 4-4.
- The Bucs would respond with a than (1-3) run in return to take the lead, 5-7.
- Tech would in turn deliver a (5-1) run with the help of some errors by the Bucs, an Ace from Kari Voelstad Bogen and a kill from Tessa Mati, 10-8.
- The contest would stay even as each team would respond to each other (3-0 Tech, 2-2 tie, and 1-4 Bucs) to force a tie at 16-16.
- A critical replay review would be called into question with Tech up 18-16 that would give the Bucs the point and the momentum moving forward.
- The Panthers would be outscored (9-1) as the Bucs would run away with the set win.
Second Set:
- The Panthers would storm out of the gate with four straight points and force an early Buc timeout, (4-0).
- The Bucs would use the timeout to their advantage as they would rally to get their first point.
- Tech would hold a lead of three to four up to the mark of 8-5 when the Bucs would flip the game on its head and serve a (1-8) run taking the lead, 9-13.
- Kearns would leave a footprint at this point delivering three much needed kills to help the Panthers get back into this as the team sparked a (6-3) run to cut the lead to just one, 15-16.
- Barry would come out of a timeout hot with a (1-5) run to climb up to 16-21.
- Tech would be outscored (3-4) to bring the set to a close with another Buc win.
Third Set:
- A much-needed set for the Panthers to extend this game they would come out strong courtesy of two Patelli kills, (2-0).
- In turn, the Bucs would respond with a (0-7) run to take the lead and the breath out of the gym, (2-7).
- The Panthers would have their moments but would be overshadowed by the Bucs as Tech would remain behind as the lead for Barry would grow to as large as eight.
- The Bucs would continue to answer every attempt by the Panthers and the lead would close to four at 14-18.
- It would be the Bucs again who would take the attack to the Panthers and take the win in the final set to end the set and win the game.

- All-time vs. Barry: 10-60.
- Panthers are 5-30 all-time at home vs. Barry.
- Cordelia Kearns entered the program's single season top 10 kill list.
