MIAMI SHORES, Fla. – The Florida Tech women's soccer team concluded the regular season on the road with a 2-0 win over the Barry Buccaneers on Thursday night in Miami Shores.

STATS OF THE MATCH:
- The teams traded a shot each in the first five minutes of the match, but neither were on target.
- Marta Llopis put the first shot on target in the 10th minute, but the Bucs' keeper was able to make the save.
- There was a battle for possession in the midfield for the next 10 minutes, with neither team generating a shot opportunity until Savannah Oxley took a rip at the net, but once again the Barry keeper was able to make the save.
- Tech put two more shots on target over the next few minutes but were unable to find the back of net as the keeper made two more saves.
- Both teams continued the possession battle for most of the rest of the half.
- With under a minute left on the clock, Katie Ormerod looks to put the Panthers on the board, but her shot was stopped by the keeper and the teams went into halftime scoreless.
- Tech came out of halftime and dominated possession, getting three shots off early in the period.
- The Panthers finally broke through in the 58th minute. Ximena Jauregui took a corner kick that found its way past the keeper to put Tech up 1-0.
- Tech continued to apply pressure, not allowed the Bucs to get a shot off until the 74th minute, but Kaitlin Sinkler was able to make the save for the Panthers.
- In the 80th minute, Jauregui used a loose ball to rip a shot from around the edge of the box and into the back of the net to push the lead to 2-0.
- Tech was able to control the ball for the rest of the match to earn the shutout victory.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:
- Florida Tech moves to 11-10-7 all-time against Barry, including a 4-8-4 record on the road in Miami Shores.
- Lauryn Wood is now tied for ninth all-time in career goals scored with 17.
- With the win, Katy Freels has the most wins as head coach in their first season in program history.

UP NEXT: The Panthers have clinched the regular season title and have earned the top seed in the SSC Tournament. They will host the eight seed on Monday, Nov. 11. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. at Rick Stottler Field in Melbourne.
