- It would be a Max Polk pullup bucket that got Tech on the board as they faced an early deficit, (2-6).
- Tech would continue to fight from behind to get back in this one as buckets from Polk, Donavan Brown, and a three-pointer from Xavier Ford-Belton (XFB) along with good team defense would bring the Panthers their first lead early up 14-12.

- Turgot playing off his hot first half would continue to see the green light in his shot as he scored eight consecutive opposed to two points for the Badgers, cutting the Badger lead to three (48-51).
- With the Supporting cast starting to see cleaner shots, the Panthers would keep things close and back-to-back threes from Polk would then cut the lead to two before a Turgot three-pointer would give Tech their first lead of the second half, (61-60).
- It would be a collective effort from all five starters for the Panthers as each of them would tally buckets down the stretch as the teams would stay even all the 60s-point mark, up to a tie at 72-72.
- With the support of Polk & Brown, the Panthers would hold a four-point lead under three minutes.
- The Badgers would fight to tie at 78-78 with the Panthers holding for the last shot in which a smart fouling tactic on behave of the Badgers would force the clock to wind down and erase time for Tech forcing a shot at the buzzer resulting in overtime.
Overtime
- The Badgers would strike first in OT with a tough layup finish at the rim, (78-80).
- Turgot would splash a rainbow three-pointer to get Tech on the board and after a good defensive stop a dime from Turgot to XFB would give the Panthers a three-point lead (83-80).
