MELBOURNE, Fla. – The Florida Tech baseball team fell to Embry-Riddle, 13-3, on a windy night at Andy Seminick-Les Hall field, in a midweek non-conference matchup.

STATS OF THE GAME:
- Josh Beck got the nod on the bump for the Panthers in the midweek matchup and struck out his first two batters of the game. After surrendering back-to-back walks, he struck out his third batter of the inning to keep the game scoreless.
- Marshall Burke led off the bottom of the first by reaching base on an error by the ERAU second basemen. Jack Matousek followed up in the next at-bat with a single through the right side to advance M. Burke to third.
- Two batters later, Noah Burke would single to center field to plate M. Burke to give Tech an early 1-0 advantage.
- In the top of the second, with two runners on and one out, M. Burke and Jason Blackstone turned a six-four-three double play to get the Panthers out of the jam and keep the Eagles scoreless.
- ERAU would get on the board in the top of the fourth with an RBI single by Josh Reynolds.
- Tech came right back in the bottom half of the inning. With two outs, Cole Patrick singled up the middle, and Roman Samson followed up with a two-run home run to right field to go up 3-1.
- The Eagles' bats got hot in the top of the fifth. Three straight two-out singles plated five runs to give ERAU a 6-3 lead.
- ERAU tacked on another run in the top of the sixth with a sacrifice fly by Reynolds, and three more runs in the top of the seventh to go up 10-3.
- Tech threatened to score with the bases loaded and one out in the bottom half of the frame. Justin Webster would come in for relief and get a strikeout and a pop-up to escape the jam for the Eagles.
- An RBI single and sacrifice fly in the top of the eighth would push ERAU's lead to 12-3.
- The Eagles pushed the final run of the game across the plate in the top of the ninth with another RBI single.
- The Panthers would go down in order in the bottom of the ninth to give the game its final score of 13-3.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:
- Florida Tech moves to 22-22 all-time against ERAU, including a 14-8 record in Melbourne.
- This was the first time the two teams have met at Andy Seminick-Les Hall Field since April 15, 2022.

UP NEXT: Florida Tech will travel to Valdosta, Ga. for a three-game series against Valdosta State from Friday, Feb. 9 to Saturday, Feb. 10. First pitch for game one is scheduled for 5 p.m.
