• Another opportunity for Tech arose just under two minutes later, only for Savannah Oxley's deflected shot to be smothered by the FSC keeper.
• The Moccasins continued to dig in defensively, only conceding off-target shots from the Crimson and Gray in the 13th and 22nd minutes.
• Florida Southern got the breakthrough in the 28th minute from a free kick when, after a failed clearance, Jamie Klein's shot found the back of the net through traffic for a 1-0 lead.
• Kaitlin Sinkler's save from Jasmin Adames on a Moccasin counter three minutes later kept the margin at one.
• Mottershead created a chance once again inside the FSC box, this time in the 32nd minute, only for the opportunity to be short-circuited by the keeper.
• Just over two minutes later, Lauryn Wood darted through several defenders in pursuit of an equalizer only for a shot to be pushed away.
• Florida Tech's last chance of the half came inside the final minute when Sofia Posner's cross was met at the near post by the keeper.
• Less than three minutes into the second half, FSC nearly doubled its lead from another free kick when a scramble after the initial clearance led to a shot for Klein that was put wide.
• On 50 minutes, Florida Southern's keeper stopped Wood and Oxley in quick succession to keep her team in front.
• A little under two minutes later, Sara Batchadji nearly leveled the proceedings only to see her header from a corner go just over the bar.
• In the 54th minute, another driving run from Wood looked like it may tie the game only for her chance to be stopped at the edge of the box.
• Sinkler kept the deficit at one thanks to saves from Adames in the 64th and Frankie Gaiten in the 65th.
• Batchadji put a free kick on target from 30 yards out with just under 17 minutes remaining only for it to find gloves.
• Rebecca Storr's powerful shot from about the same spot in the 77th minute also found the arms of the FSC keeper.
• Then, with just under seven minutes remaining, Batchadji's free kick from 25 yards out hit the underside of the crossbar beyond the reach of the keeper and out. Ada Geier won the race to the ball and headed it home to bring the Panthers level.
• Tech applied plenty of pressure over the final six minutes but were unable to find a winner.
