BOCA RATON, Fla. – Florida Tech men's soccer fought for 110 minutes and penalties before falling in the SSC Semifinals to Lynn, 1-1 (5-4 PK). The Panthers scored early but allowed a late goal to force a second consecutive extra-time game.

STATS OF THE MATCH
- Tech started the game strong and held the ball for the majority of the first half.
- Despite seeming to have control, the Fighting Knights took three stabs at the net before the 25th minute, but Elias Ronning Orn saved all of them.
- The Panthers rewarded their goalie for his efforts, scoring at 27:48. Caio de Amorim de Deus received the pass from Alessandro Fossati and ripped it so hard it bounced off the Lynn keeper's hand.
- Following the goal, Lynn attempted three shots in a crowd of Panther defenders that were all blocked.
- Tech came very close to going up 2-0 when Tommy Chamberlain intercepted a pass in the Lynn eighteen but sailed the ball over the goal.
- It was a tight battle in the second half, as both defenses gave up little ground.
- With 5:38 remaining in the game, Lynn finally broke through, finding Robin Muenst open in the box, tying the game at 1-1.
- Minimal action in the two extra time periods. However, the Panthers did take three on-target shots.
- Orn also made two stellar saves in the final three minutes to force penalty kicks.
- In PKs, Tech made their first three penalty kicks, and Orn stopped on from going in.
- However, the Panthers missed the next two, and Lynn made two of their next three, evening the score at 3-3.
- Lynn made their next two while Tech missed the last one sealing the Lynn victory.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- This is the second-ever meeting in the SSC Tournament between the schools and the first since the 2014 Final in Boca Raton.
- Tech is 8-15-4 all-time in the SSC Tournament. They are 2-2 in penalty shootouts.
