St. Pete, Florida – Florida Tech Volleyball was back on the road to kick off a three-game road trip to end the regular season. The Panthers traveled to Eckerd College for a key match in the NCAA South Region.

MATCH NOTES:
First Set: Florida Tech 17, Eckerd Tritons 25
- This evening's highly touted matchup began with a kill from Isabelle Clark as the Panthers jumped out to a 3-1 lead.
- Eckerd made their first big run of the night, scoring five straight to pull ahead 5-3.
- Kills from Cordelia Kearns and Devyn Glassgold got the Panthers back on the board and the first set was tied at 7-7.
- Tech got kills from Elisa Broggio and Kearns but Eckerd went on another run to take a multiple point lead halfway through the set.
- Down 17-12, Kearns recorded two aces and service ace to pull the Panthers within striking distance.
- Unfortunately, those would be the last points Tech earned in consecutive fashion as both teams traded points until Eckerd won the set.
Second Set: Florida Tech 20, Eckerd Tritons 25
- Tech opened the second set with a huge block from Elisa Broggio and Isabelle Clark.
- Similar to the end of the first set, both teams continued to go back and forth as the scoreline was knotted up at 6-6.
- Also, like the first set, Eckerd earned the first big run with a 5-0 stretch to take a 10-6 lead.
- Cordelia Kearns, Devyn Glassgold and Scarlett Kimbrell earned kills as the Panthers came right back with a run of their own.
- While the Panthers cut the deficit to two points, the Tritons put an end to the run with one of their own to re-extend their lead to 18-12.
- Tech responded for a second time in the set, getting more kills from Broggio, Kearns, and Kimbrell, but were unable to recover from being down multiple points.
- After back-to-back kills from Glassgold and another from Kearns cut the lead to just four, but Eckerd put an end to the comeback effort.
Third Set: Florida Tech 15, Eckerd Tritons 25
- Isabelle Clark earned the first point of the third set for Tech with a kill from the middle but it was Eckerd who opened up with a big lead, 7-1.
- Kills from Clark and Devyn Glassgold kept the Panthers in the set but they still trailed 11-8.
- Tech continued to show fight, getting back-to-back kills form Clark and Cordleia Kearns to stay one run away from the lead.
- However, Tech was unable to find the big run they needed as Eckerd went on to take the set and the match.
NOTABLE PANTHERS:
UP NEXT: The Panthers will stay on the west coast of Florida for two more matches this week. Tech will face No. 1 Tampa on Friday at 7:00 PM before heading to Lakeland to take on Florida Southern at 4:00 PM on Saturday.
