  • Eckerd made their first big run of the night, scoring five straight to pull ahead 5-3.
  • Kills from Cordelia Kearns and Devyn Glassgold got the Panthers back on the board and the first set was tied at 7-7.
  • Tech got kills from Elisa Broggio and Kearns but Eckerd went on another run to take a multiple point lead halfway through the set.
  • Down 17-12, Kearns recorded two aces and service ace to pull the Panthers within striking distance.
  • Unfortunately, those would be the last points Tech earned in consecutive fashion as both teams traded points until Eckerd won the set.
Second Set: Florida Tech 20, Eckerd Tritons 25
  • Tech opened the second set with a huge block from Elisa Broggio and Isabelle Clark.
  • Similar to the end of the first set, both teams continued to go back and forth as the scoreline was knotted up at 6-6.
  • Also, like the first set, Eckerd earned the first big run with a 5-0 stretch to take a 10-6 lead.
  • Cordelia Kearns, Devyn Glassgold and Scarlett Kimbrell earned kills as the Panthers came right back with a run of their own.
  • While the Panthers cut the deficit to two points, the Tritons put an end to the run with one of their own to re-extend their lead to 18-12.
  • Tech responded for a second time in the set, getting more kills from Broggio, Kearns, and Kimbrell, but were unable to recover from being down multiple points.
  • After back-to-back kills from Glassgold and another from Kearns cut the lead to just four, but Eckerd put an end to the comeback effort.
Third Set: Florida Tech 15, Eckerd Tritons 25
  • Isabelle Clark earned the first point of the third set for Tech with a kill from the middle but it was Eckerd who opened up with a big lead, 7-1.
  • Kills from Clark and Devyn Glassgold kept the Panthers in the set but they still trailed 11-8.
  • Tech continued to show fight, getting back-to-back kills form Clark and Cordleia Kearns to stay one run away from the lead.
  • However, Tech was unable to find the big run they needed as Eckerd went on to take the set and the match.
