Panthers Win on Senior Night, Find the Back of the Net Three Times

MELBOURNE, Fla. – The Florida Tech women's soccer team ends the 2025 regular season with a win on senior night, 3-0, against Barry on Tuesday, Nov. 4. With the win, Florida Tech closes the regular season with a 9-3-5 (5-2-3 SSC) record while Barry falls to 5-4-9 (1-2-7 SSC).

GAME NOTES
  • Tech struck within the first five minutes of the match as Izzie Bromage found the back of the net off two consecutive passes from Lauryn Wood and Mia Otero.
  • Rio Naganawa planted a shot near the Barry goal in the 15th minute that missed wide right.
  • In the 20th minute, Sara Batchadji's shot was saved by the Buccaneer keeper. The Barry keeper would save another shot from Batchadji in the 23rd minute.
  •  The Bucs notched their first shot of the match in the 21st minute that missed top right.
  • The Panthers had a nice opportunity on offense in the 34th minute, but Savannah Oxley's shot attempt was saved by the diving Barry goalkeeper.
  • Lauryn Wood would rocket two shots in the 41st minute, but both would just miss putting Tech up 2-0.
  • Kaitlin Sinkler saved Barry's lone shot on goal in the half in the 44th minute to preserve the 1-0 lead going into half.
  • The Panthers came out of the half on the attack as Sara Batchadji and Carolina Falcao fired shots at the Barry goal, but Batchadji's was saved while Falcao's missed the mark.
  • Florida Tech earned a free kick just outside of the box as Barry was charged with a red card. Alice Mottershead took advantage as she pounded her second goal of the season in the 63rd minute.
  • Izzie Bromage struck again in the 73rd minute with her sixth goal of the year off an assist from Alice Mottershead. Mottershead is now tied for the team lead with four assists.
  • From there on, Florida Tech continued to keep possession and keep control of the game as the Panthers earned their ninth victory of the season on Senior Night.
BEYOND THE BOXSCORE
  • Izzie Bromage scored twice (5' and 73') and now leads the team with six goals this season.
  • Alice Mottershead scored her second goal of the season (63') and assisted on a goal, the fourth time this season.
  • Kaitlin Sinkler earned her sixth clean sheet of the season as she had one save.
  • The Panthers out-shot Barry 25-0 in the second half. 
  • Tech had 18 shots on goal, meanwhile Barry only had one.
 
UP NEXT
The Panthers will now await their seeding for the 2025 Sunshine State Conference tournament. They are locked in as a top four seed and will host the first round of the tournament on Monday, Nov. 10 at Rick Stottler Field.
