Melbourne, Florida – Florida Tech Volleyball took the court this afternoon for their third home match this week. The Panthers took on their second highly ranked opponent of the weekend, No. 2 Barry University.

MATCH NOTES:
First Set: Florida Tech 23, Barry 25
- This afternoon's match started with kills from Isabelle Clark and Cordelia Kearns plus a service ace from Courtney Capar as the Panthers got out to a 3-1 lead.
- Both teams battled back and forth but it was Barry who had the lead 10-8.
- Kills from Cordelia Kearns had Tech on a small 3-0 run to take back the lead.
- Both sides continued to go blow for blow as the scoreline remained deadlocked at 12-12, 15-15 and 18-18.
- Despite the Panthers taking a 20-18 lead with back-to-back kills from Kearns, Barry used a 4-1 run to retake the lead and went on the win the set.
Second Set: Florida Tech 19, Barry 25
- While the Buccaneers got out to a quick 4-1 lead, Tech battled back with kills form Cordelia Kearns and Elisa Broggio to tie the second set at 6-6.
- However, Barry used a 10-2 run to pull away and lead 16-8.
- The Panthers found momentum in the middle of the set with a Kelly Merz service ace and more kills from Kearns, but the Barry lead stayed at multiple points.
- Scarlett Kimbrell and Broggio added kills towards the end of the set but the Buccaneers held on to take the set and a 2-0 lead in the match.
Third Set: Florida Tech 20, Barry 25
- Needing a response after going down 2-0, Tech opened the third set with another ace from Kelly Merz and kills from Elisa Broggio and Cordelia Kearns to take an early 5-2 lead.
- Both sides traded points until the Panthers used a 4-0 to go up 13-7.
- Unfortunately for Tech, Barry went on another 8-2 run to tie the set up at 15-15.
- While Cordelia Kearns earned a kill to take a one point lead, Barry used another run (6-0) to take control of the set.
- Ayisha Missipo and Broggio each earned a kill but the Panthers were unable to stop the Buccaneers as they went on to win the match.
NOTABLE PANTHERS:
UP NEXT: The Panthers will have six days before they wrap up the team's five-match homestand. Tech will host Palm Beach Atlantic on Friday, November 14
th at 7 PM before taking on Nova Southeastern on Saturday at 4 PM. In what will be the last home matches of the regular season, Friday's match will serve as Alumni Night, and the weekend will finish with Senior Day on Saturday.
