MELBOURNE, Fla. – The Florida Tech men's and women's swimming teams wrap up the sprint invite against Tampa on Thursday, Dec. 18 at the Panther Aquatic Center.
NOTABLE PERFORMANCES
- Akos Hajagos was the top Panther against Tampa as he notched two individual first-place finishes. Hajagos placed first in the 100 Fly with a time of 48.01. He also took first in the 100 Back with a time of 49.54. In the final event of the meet, Hajagos aided the 200 Free Relay to a first-place finish with a time of 1:21.48, a whole second ahead of second place.
- Antoni Fronczak placed second in the 200 Free with a time of 1:37.94. Fronczak finish behind Jacob Hamlin of Tamp who had a time of 1:36.74.
- In the 50 Back, Matthew Heaphy won third with a time of 26.12.
- Abby Briggs and Nilsu Demiran had top three finishes in the 100 Fly with times of 56.76 and 57.24, respectfully.
- Isabella Sarvis swam a 24.10 in the 50 Free, good enough to slot into third place.
- Andy Pleiman and Josh McLean swam sub 21.00 times in the 50 Free as Pleiman swam a 20.77 to a second-place finish while McLean swam a 20.89, just behind Pleiman in third.
- Lucas Mitchelmore came in second with a time of 44.78 in the 100 Free. Antoni Fronczak placed third in the 100 Free with a time of 45.19.
- Melissa Zucco swam a fast 100 Back as she notched a time of 56.86. Just .61 off first place.
- London Best came in second in the 50 Fly with a time of 25.65. Best was just off first as a Tamp swimmer came in with a 25.58.

The Panthers will now get ready for their final home meet of the 2025-26 season as they take on Rollins for Senior Day on Wednesday, Jan. 7 at 1:00 p.m. EST in the Panther Aquatic Center.
