Melbourne, Florida – Florida Tech Basketball rang in the new year this afternoon with a New Year's Eve conference game against Embry-Riddle. Not only was this the final game of 2025 for the Panthers, but the first of two games in the Karman Clash Rivalry series with the Eagles.

GAME NOTES:
First Half:
- This afternoon's contest began with both teams trading buckets.
- The Panthers got points from Ca'Darrius Sowell and Greyson Williams but found themselves down 10-4 early.
- Riddle used a 10-0 run to extend the lead, and even after Ty Harpring and Matt Daulerio got Tech back on the board, they trailed 26-9.
- Tech made more shots as the first half transitioned into the final eight minutes, but the deficit was now 20.
- Sowell and Daulerio each hit two jumpers in the final minutes but Tech went into halftime trailing by 19.
HALFTIME SCORE - Florida Tech 36, Embry-Riddle 55
Second Half:
- Riddle's hot start to the game did not slow after the break as they came out with a 10-0 run to start the second half.
- Brewer Nitcher put an end to the run, but the Panthers found themselves down 70-39 with 12 minutes remaining.
- Not giving up, Sowell made three straight shots to try and cut into the Eagle lead, but ERAU used another run to grow their advantage.
- With under six minutes to go, Xavier Ford-Belton got the line for four free throws, and Ty Harpring drilled a three, but the Eagles' lead was too big to overcome.
- Both sides traded baskets in the final minutes as ERAU took home the Karman Clash Trophy in the first meeting between these two rivals.

UP NEXT: The Panthers will head out on the road for their first game of 2026. Tech will take on the University of Tampa on January 3
