MELBOURNE, Fla. - The Florida Tech women's soccer team lands four players on the United Soccer Coaches All-South Region Teams on Tuesday, Dec. 9.
Sara Batchadji, a junior from Lubeck, Germany, is the lone Panther named to the First-Team. Batchadji tied a career-high in goals with four and added four assists. She scored the equalizer against Embry-Riddle with a goal in the 86
th minute and aided the Panther comeback against Rollins with a free kick goal in the 89
th minute.
Alice Mottershead, a sophomore from Manchester, England earns the Second Team nod. She set a career-high with two goals this season against Franklin Pierce and Barry. Mottershead also set a career-high with four assists this season. Mottershead has 17 matches played and 1,200 minutes this season.
Rio Naganawa, a freshman from Seki, Japan, adds to her stellar freshman campaign as she earns Second-Team recognition. Naganawa played in 17 matches while starting 15 for Tech and accumulated 1,181 minutes. She scored two goals against Saint Leo on Oct. 1 and assisted on two goals this season.Â
Lauryn Wood, a senior from Preston, England, was the final Panthers named to the All-South Region Second-Team. Wood opened the 2025 season with a two-goal match against Auburn Montgomery on Sept. 4. She remained one of the biggest offensive threats as she added goals against Nova Southeastern on Sept. 20 and Palm Beach Atlantic on Sept. 17. Wood also set a career-high for assists in a season with five. She was also named SSC Offensive Player of the Week on Sept. 22.
