FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – The Florida Tech women's basketball team fell to Nova Southeastern 81-42 on the road.
Nadine Johnson had a strong second half, recording all nine points, which led the Panthers.

FIRST QUARTER:
- A tough start for the Panthers, giving up a 13-0 run before Kyandra Poitier got Tech on the board.
- Nova Southeastern extended their lead before Sarah Liberatore drained a three, hoping to turn the game around.
- However, the Panthers were down 24-7 after 10 minutes of play.
SECOND QUARTER:
- The Sharks began the second, scoring nine unanswered points. Dalma Ehmann subbed in and powered her way to the basket, ending the run.
- Ehmann added three more to her total before the end of the half.
- Tech ended on a positive note as Poitier shook the defender for an easy right-handed layup. The Panthers were down 51-15 at the break.
THIRD QUARTER:
- Tech found their way to the charity stripe early in the third. Tai Roberts and Divine Guthrie combined to hit all four.
- Johnson started to catch fire following the media timeout. The freshman crashed the paint, cashing in on the floater and the and-one free throw.
- In the next possession, Johnson found the basket again for five points in the quarter.
- The Sharks finished the third on a 7-0 stretch for a 65-24 advantage.
FOURTH QUARTER:
- Nova Southeastern tallied five points before Johnson made a reappearance. The Kentucky native created another and-one opportunity on a layup and capitalized on the free throw.
- Sandwiching a Sharks' bucket were field goals made by Mikayla Morin and McKenzie Winder
- Roberts put three balls through the net, helping the Panthers score 11 additional points in an 81-42 loss to Nova Southeastern.
NOTABLE PANTHERS:
- Nadine Johnson scored a team-high nine points, going 3-for-7 from the field. She also tallied four rebounds and two steals.
- Divine Guthrie swiped three balls from the Sharks in 18 minutes on the court.
INSIDE THE BOXSCORE:
- Tech is 27-27 against Nova Southeastern and 10-15 in Fort Lauderdale.
- It's the second time Johnson has led the team in points.
- Kyandra Poitier has had a block or a steal in five of the last six games and 19 games this season.
- Guthrie grabs three steals in a game for the fourth time this year.
