WINGATE, NC – Less than 24 hours after finishing a tough test on the road, the Florida Tech men's lacrosse team was motivated on Sunday afternoon, playing on the same field in a neutral site matchup against Lees-McRae. The Panthers looked no worse for wear as they took the lead less than two minutes into the game and never trailed, cruising past the Bobcats 23-10.

FIRST QUARTER:
- As he did on Saturday, Joe Coveleski opened the scoring, doing so this time 1:58 into the game on a feed from Jakob Terpak.
- 43 seconds later, Andrew Walenty doubled the Panther advantage with Coveleski providing.
- Jack Cornwell added to Tech's lead 1:01 after Walenty's goal.
- Garvin Johnson got the Bobcats on the board at the 10:58 mark.
- Kaleb Parkhurst cut the deficit to 3-2 1:21 after Johnson's tally.
- Thomas Strong gave the Panthers some cushion at 7:53 with his fifth goal of the season.
- The final four minutes of the opening period saw five combined goals, starting with Johnson's second of the game at 3:32.
- Colin Olson got one back for the Crimson and Gray 45 seconds later with his first goal of the season.
- Adam Ross countered for the Bobcats 24 seconds after that.
- Terpak began an 8-0 Panther run over the next 14:51 with his second goal of the season at 1:49.
- Matt Josefson concluded the opening frame with his second career goal 18 seconds on the clock.
SECOND QUARTER:
- Florida Tech began the quarter a man up and Coveleski made sure that counted by converting Strong's feed to give the Panthers an 8-4 lead.
- Just over three minutes later, Gavin Stecher added his second goal of the campaign with an assist from Terpak.
- Just under two minutes later, Alex Zarsky scored the first goal of his collegiate career to give the Crimson and Gray a six-goal advantage.
- 1:01 after that, Derek Duplechin finished a pass from Gary Lozito to extend the margin to seven.
- Robert McNamara tallied his first goal as a Panther at 7:25 to make it 12-4.
- Aidan Addison scored his second goal in as many days to cap the eight-goal swing for Tech at 3:40.
- At 1:58, Spence Combs' man-up goal broke an over 15-minute goal drought for Lees-McRae, making it a 13-5 game at the break.
THIRD QUARTER:
- Terpak's second goal of the afternoon opened the second half ledger at 11:06 thanks to Coveleski's second helper.
- Ross responded 30 seconds later with his second goal of the game.
- Rob Gadomski short-circuiting any possible Bobcat momentum with a response 48 seconds after Ross' goal to push the lead back to nine.
- Zarsky doubled his output for the day at the 4:21 mark, finishing a feed from Gadomski to increase the lead to double digits.
- Derek Duplechin made it two goals in his last two games, finishing the move from Chase Blumbergs.
- Johnson made it a treble with 1:50 left in the stanza to cut the deficit to 10.
- Gadomski recorded his second of the quarter 33 seconds later with Zarsky returning the favor.
FOURTH QUARTER:
- McNamara grabbed his second of the afternoon 40 seconds into the final quarter
- 34 seconds later, Moran finished a feed from Goss for his fifth of the day and give the Bulldogs a seven-goal lead.
- Cornwell scored the Crimson and Gray's 20th goal of the game at 8:15 with his second tally of the day.
- Cole Morris got his name in the scoresheet at 6:42, finishing off a feed from Parkhurst.
- 12 seconds later, Zarsky notched his first hat trick as a Panther with an assist from Max Watson.
- Cornwell completed his first career hat trick at 4:23.
- Duplechin completed the Florida Tech output at 3:38 with his second goal of the day.
- The Bobcats would score twice in the final 2:30 with Ross finishing his hat trick and Morris getting his second.
NOTABLE PANTHERS:
INSIDE THE BOXSCORE:
- Florida Tech outshot Lees-McRae 59-33 with 34 on goal against LMC's 16.
- The Panthers won the turnover battle (12-22) and caused more turnovers (7-5), while also gathering more ground balls (40-31).
- Florida Tech went a perfect 21-of-21 on clears, while Lees-McRae went 16-of-19.
BEYOND THE BOXSCORE:
- The Panthers are now 1-1 all-time against Lees-McRae. This was the first matchup between the teams since February 17, 2012.
- Alex Zarsky scored not only the first goal of his Panther career but also his first hat trick.
- Derek Duplechin and Jack Cornwell each recorded their first career hat trick.
- Robert McNamara's two goals were the first of his college career.
