  • After a foul out, Nova Southeastern doubled, followed by a single for two additional runs, taking a 3-0 lead.
  • The Panthers had two baserunners on two walks in the bottom of the first but did capitalize.
  • From the second inning on, Alex Hendrian went on a tear from the circle, tallying two strikeouts in back-to-back 1-2-3 innings in the second and third.

  • Nova Southeastern extended their lead, earning a run in the fourth on a double to right center. Hendrian ended the inning with another strikeout, making it three straight innings with one.
  • In the bottom of the fourth, Schwartz hit a slow roller to the pitcher, allowing her to beat out the throw to first base. Two batters later, Julianna Hynes walked, and runners advanced to third and second on a passed ball.
  • Kate Rodel walked, loading the bases for Malaya Nelson to punch a bloop-single between the centerfielder and second baseman, driving in two runs. The Panthers were down 4-2 after four innings.
  • Hendrian pitched a decisive fifth inning and struck out two in the sixth, keeping the Sharks off the board.
  • Tech threatened in the bottom of the sixth despite the first two batters going down. With two outs on the board, Nelson tallied her second hit and advanced on a wild pitch. However, the freshman would remain there.
