Tech Drops Double Header to Bulldogs
MELBOURNE, Fla. – Panthers baseball had a hard-fought doubleheader on Saturday as they dropped a tough 14-2 loss in game one, and in game two, Techs' offense found its rhythm, putting up seven runs in a competitive battle, but the Bulldogs edged out an 11-7 victory.

STATS OF THE GAME ONE:
- The Panthers committed five errors, leading to multiple unearned runs for the Bulldogs, and it was hard to come back in this one as they trailed 5-0 heading into the third inning.
- Tech managed to score two runs, with Jaden Hill contributing an RBI single in the third inning, bringing home Gabe Garrett, and later in the fourth inning when Garrett singled to bring in Jason Blackstone home but found no other success in scoring despite seven total this.
- Starting pitcher Tyler Dietz took the loss, bringing his season record to 1-1.
STATS OF THE GAME TWO:
- The Bulldogs took a 1-0 lead in the third inning after stealing home.
- In the bottom of the third, Tech responded and scored three runs, capitalizing on a wild pitch that brought in Garrett, an RBI single by BJ Graham that brought in Hill, and Roman Samson reaching a fielder's choice that brought in Pedro Figueroa, 3-1.
- Both teams exchanged leads, with the Bulldogs tying the game in the fifth inning after a Panther walk resulted in Hill scoring with the bases loaded and then the Bulldogs taking the lead in the seventh after a single brought home two runners, 6-4.
- Anthony Fimiano doubled, bringing in Samson in the seventh to pull within one, and in response, the Bulldogs scored two more runs in the eighth, 8-5.
- The Panthers would get back within one in the bottom of the eighth with a Figueroa single RBI that brought in Garret and a Samson fly out that brought in Hill, 8-7.
- In the top of the ninth, the Bulldogs would add in three more runs, which would ice the game for good and give Tech the loss, 11-7.
