BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Florida Tech women's lacrosse team did not let up in a 13-11 loss to No. 6 Lynn on Wednesday. The Panthers outperformed the Fighting Knights in the draw control circle, but turnovers on offense hampered Florida Tech.

FIRST QUARTER:
- Another great start for the Panthers, taking the lead on a Charlotte Hardie strike from a Sophia Scichilone pass.
- Bridget Robinson blocked three shots, which allowed Sofie Bender to put Tech up by two. Scichilone also assisted her.
- Lynn finally scored with 1:12 left in the first quarter. It would be Lynn's last of the first 15 minutes since Robinson made two more saves.
- However, the Panthers and Bender were not done, cashing in another goal, leaving eight seconds on the clock. The Panthers held the 3-1 advantage into the next quarter.
SECOND QUARTER:
- Despite a bad first quarter, the Fighting Knights began the second quarter on a 5-0 run, killing 11 minutes of game time. The Panthers won four consecutive draw controls, including three from Clare McGuire.
- McGuire earned her fourth of the quarter, then picked up a ground ball two minutes later, setting up Gillian Craig's free-position goal at 2:44.
- Another McGuire draw control, and Robinson saved later. The Panthers headed into the break, down 6-4.
THIRD QUARTER:
- Lynn recorded the first goal, but Tech's Bender responded at 9:28.
- After a Knights goal at 7:28, the Panthers netted three goals during the final four minutes of the third. Phoebe Hurt scored the first of the three.
- At 2:58 on the clock, Robinson made a huge save, leading to a Carly Niro goal.
- Even though Lynn grabbed the draw control, Robinson stuffed their attempt at the net. Tech's keeper launched a long pass to Scichilone, who fired a deep shot beyond the eight-meter, tying the game at eight apiece to end the third.
FOURTH QUARTER:
- The Panthers' momentum continued in the fourth, as they nailed two goals less than two minutes into the quarter. Scichilone and Craig gave Tech the lead.
- From 10:29 to 6:51, four goals were scored, three from Lynn, tying the game at 11-11.
- McGuire received the draw control, but two turnovers let Lynn retake the lead at 12-13. The Knights scored an insurance goal at 2:09, sealing the 13-11 victory.

- Florida Tech had more saves (12-7) and grabbed more draw controls (15-11)
- Lynn registered more shots (29-21) and ground balls (15-10)
- The Panthers were 13-of-17 on clears, while the Fighting Knights were 13-of-14.

- Florida Tech is 1-5 all-time against Lynn and 0-3 at Bobby Campbell Stadium.
- Five of the six games in the series have been decided by four goals or less, with two being decided by one goal.
- Hardie moved past Allie Modica (2015-2017) into ninth place on the program's career caused turnovers list.
