Honolulu, Hawaii – Florida Tech Volleyball wrapped up the Aloha State Showdown this evening with a doubleheader. The Panthers first match of the day was against the hosts of the weekend and #24 ranked team in the country, Chaminade University. Tech finished their four-match set in the Aloha State against the University of Hawaii at Hilo.
MATCH THREE – Aloha State Showdown:

First Set: Florida Tech 24, Chaminade Silverswords 26
- The first point of the match came from Hadley Waldren in the middle as the Panthers took a 1-0 lead.
- Both teams began trading points before kills from Cordelia Kearns and Ayisha Missipo gave Tech their first multipoint lead of the match at 6-4.
- After more back and forth, the Panthers found themselves tied with the Silverswords, 13-13.
- Chaminade took their first lead of the match at 14-13, but Tech came right back with back-to-back points and retook the lead off an Elisa Broggio kill.
- It was at this point that Broggio began to take over, logging two more kills in a row to give the Panthers a 17-14 lead.
- Chaminade did answer back, but Broggio recorded her fourth kill in a row before Cordelia Kearns joined the party with back-to-back kills of her own.
- Despite Tech holding a four-point lead late in the first set, Chaminade came back to force extra points.
- Unfortunately for the Panthers, the Silverswords run continued into extra points as they closed out the first set.
Second Set: Florida Tech Panthers 25, Chaminade Silverswords 18
- Despite having set point in the first set, the momentum had fully sung to the Chaminade side as they took an early 6-3 lead.
- Kills from Elisa Broggio and Cordelia Kearns kept the Panthers within striking distance but they still trailed by multiple points after the first fifteen points.
- The Panthers clawed their way back into the set off multiple Silversword errors, but they still trailed 12-10.
- Kills from four different Panthers tied the match up at 14 before taking their first lead of the match off an Elisa Broggio service ace.
- Scarlett Kimbrell added another kill from the middle before the Silverswords answered back to tie the second set up at 17.
- Kimbrell continued to swing hard as she put the Panthers back out in front before an ace from Kari Voelstad Bogen pushed the lead out to two points.
- Devyn Glassgold added a kill to push the Panther lead out to three before another Elisa Broggio kill from the right gave Tech a 22-18 lead.
- The Panthers then closed out the second set with a kill from Hadley Waldren and a service ace from Kenzie Delacher.
Third Set: Florida Tech Panthers 27, Chaminade Silverswords 25
- After swinging their way back into the match, the Panthers began the third set with a big kill from Hadley Waldren in the middle.
- Both teams traded points until Chaminade went on the first big run of the set to take an early 7-3 lead.
- Tech answered right back with an unanswered run of their own with kills from Devyn Glassgold and Scarlett Kimbrell.
- The Panthers were able to tie the set back up nine and both sides began trading points.
- Chaminade jumped back out in front, but Glassgold and Elisa Broggio kept Tech close in the third set.
- However, despite the kills the Silverswords pulled away again to lead 16-11.
- Cordelia Kearns earned three kills to slash the deficit in half, but Chaminade continued to score points in various ways.
- Multiple Silversword errors allowed Tech to claw back into the set, and after a Kari Voelstad Bogen ace, the Panthers were only down one at 19-18.
- Tech then was able to tie the score up at 20 after a forceful kill from Ayisha Missipo before taking the lead off a Chaminade attack error.
- The comeback effort was solidified by kills from Elisa Broggio and Cordelia Kearns as they forced extra points.
- After fighting hard to come back into the set, kills from Cordelia Kearns helped the Panthers win the third set and take control of the match.
Fourth Set: Florida Tech Panthers 25, Chaminade Silverswords 16
- The Panthers had taken back the momentum in the match after their comeback win in set three and kept it going to start the fourth set.
- Kills from Ayisha Missipo, Scarlett Kimbrell and Devyn Glassgold helped Tech take a 5-3 lead to begin the set.
- Errors from the Silverswords mixed with strong defensive plays from the Panthers allowed Tech to push the lead to 11-5.
- Chaminade did pull to within two in the middle part of the set, but a kill from Devyn Glassgold and more Silversword errors allowed Tech to stay out in front 15-10.
- Kills from Cordelia Kearns and Elisa Broggio extended the Panther lead as Tech took full control of the set.
- Kearns and Broggio added more kills as the Tech lead reached double digits.
- With a huge lead, the Panthers were able to close out the fourth set and pick up their first ranked victory of the year.

- With her lone service ace in the match, Kenzie Delacher now has 100 aces for her Florida Tech career.
- This was the second meeting all-time between these two programs. With the win, Tech ties the series at 1-1.

First Set: Florida Tech Panthers 24, Hawaii Hilo Vulcans 26
- Tech's final match in Hawaii began as a back-and-forth affair, but three kills from Cordelia Kearns gave the Panthers the early 6-5 lead.
- Both teams continued to battle with a Kelly Merz service ace tying the first set up at 10-10.
- Kearns continued her strong start to the match with five kills through those first ten points for the Panthers.
- After an Ashley Rants kill, the Vulcans went on their first small run of the set to give them the lead.
- This run was promptly stopped by more kills from Cordelia Kearns, leading to Tech pulling back to within one.
- Unfortunately for Tech, the kill storm from Kearns was not enough as Hawaii Hilo took control of the first set.
- Ashley Rants added another kill, but the Panthers still trailed 20-15 late in the set.
- Tech attempted a comeback effort and used a 6-2 run to force extra points.
- However, the Vulcans put an end to the Panther run and to take the first set.
Second Set: Florida Tech Panthers 25, Hawaii Hilo Vulcans 23
- With the Panthers storming back towards the end of the first set and coming up just short, they came out motivated to start the second.
- After Hawaii Hilo got the board first, Tech used kills from Elisa Broggio and Cordelia Kearns to go on a 4-1 run.
- Much like the first set, multiple kills from Cordelia Kearns could not slow down the Vulans as they jumped back out in front.
- Down 11-6, the Panthers needed a big run and tried to get one going with kills from Kearns and Ashley Rants.
- Scarlett Kimbrell added a kill of her own, but the Vulcans put an end to the run and extended their lead back out to five points.
- Not backing down, the Panthers once again used an unanswered run to cut into the deficit, including a kill from Maiella Riva and an ace from Elisa Broggio.
- The Tech run reached 7-0 as the Panthers tied the set up at 17 before taking the lead on another service ace from Elisa Broggio.
- Hawaii Hilo was able to finally end the run, but the Panthers had stormed back into the set.
- With the second set tied at 19, both teams traded points before a Maiella Riva kill and a Vulcan attack error gave the Panthers a 24-23 lead.
- Tech then won the second set on another attack error from Hawaii Hilo.
Third Set: Florida Tech Panthers 14, Hawaii Hilo Vulcans 25
- While the Panthers had dug deep to tie the match at 1-1, Hawaii Hilo came into the first set swinging hard
- The Vulcans took a 3-0 lead before the Panthers came right back with three points of their own.
- Both teams began trading kills and errors before Hilo once again pulled away to lead 10-5.
- For the third time in the match, the Panthers attempted a comeback effort in the middle of a set.
- Isabelle Clark, Elisa Broggio, Maiella Riva and Cordelia Kearns all recorded kills to cut the deficit to just one point.
- Trailing 14-13, Hilo put an end to the Tech comeback effort and went on an unanswered run of their own.
- Despite the grit from the Panthers, Hilo ended the third set on another big run to take a 2-1 advantage in the match.
Fourth Set: Florida Tech Panthers 17, Hawaii Hilo Vulcans 25
- The fourth set began with Hilo carrying their over their big run to take an early 5-1 lead.
- However, not wanting to let the Vulcans run away with the match, the Panthers came right back with a run of their own with big kills from Cordelia Kearns and Isabelle Clark to tie the set up at five.
- While Hilo regained their multi-point lead, once again Tech came right back, and a big block from Ayisha Missipo/Isabelle Clark cut the lead to one.
- Unfortunately for Tech, they were unable to tie the game as Hilo went on another run to pull away in the middle of the set.
- Scarlett Kimbrell and Elisa Broggio earned kills to keep the Panthers within striking distance, but another comeback effort never materialized.
- In the end, the Vulcans pulled away for the final time and took the match.

- The Panthers finish the Aloha State Showdown with a 2-2 record
- Kari Voelstad Bogen totaled 73 digs this weekend, moving her up to sixth place all-time for her Panther career (857 Total Digs).
UP NEXT: The Panthers will return home and have a week to recover from back-to-back invitationals on the road. Tech will open 2025 Sunshine State Conference play with their home opener on September 26
th at 7 PM against Eckerd College. This match will also serve as the first Aloha Friday match this season.
