90 Hard-Fought Minutes Ends in 1-1 Tie Against Flagler

MELBOURNE, Fla. – The Florida Tech women's soccer team draws with Flagler on Saturday, Sept. 13. The tie moves the Panthers to 2-1-1 while the Saints are 1-1-1.

GAME NOTES
  • The Panthers worked the ball down the field and got the first shot of the game from Katie Ormerod that missed top left.
  • Flagler responded with a shot of their own which was saved by Kaitlin Sinkler in the second minute.
  • After a foul committed by the Saints, Tech fired off three shots within the next nine minutes of play from Bromage, Mottershead and Geier.
  • A second save by Sinkler killed a Flagler attack in the 20th minute.
  • The Panthers took the lead in the 25th minute after a shot by Sara Batchadji was stopped by the Flagler goalkeeper. The ball was not corralled which allowed Ada Geier to punch it in for her first goal of the 2025 season.
  • Carolina Falcao, Savannah Oxley and Sara Batchadji all tallied shots in the 31st, 32nd and 33rdminute.
  • Neither team earned a corner, shot or shot on goal the final 10 minutes of the first half.
  • Florida Tech picked up two corner kicks in the 52nd and 53rd minutes but were unable to convert on either.
  • Flagler tied the score at 1-1 with a goal in the 58th minute.
  • In the final 10 minutes of play, the Panthers recorded three corner kicks, all of which were well defended by the Saints and neither of the three turned into shots on goal.
BEYOND THE BOXSCORE
  • Florida Tech is now 6-3-3 against Flagler all-time.
  • Ada Geier scored her first goal of the season in the 25th minute.
  • The Panthers out-shot the Saints 18-9.
  • Florida Tech's six shots on goal are the lowest total so far in the 2025 season.
