Goals By Wood, Ormerod Fuel Panthers to Shutout Victory Over Palm Beach Atlantic

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – The Florida Tech women's soccer team shut out Palm Beach Atlantic, 2-0 on Wednesday, Sept. 17.  With the win, the Panthers improve to 3-1-1 while the Sailfish fall to 1-3-1.

GAME NOTES
  • Florida Tech possessed the ball for the majority of the first half as Palm Beach Atlantic didn't record a single shot.
  • Nora Oldmark and Katie Ormerod ripped shots in the second and fourth minute, but the Sailfish keeper was able to stop both.
  • In the 20th through the 28th minute, Tech had good opportunities to score with five shots and three corners but were unable to convert.
  • The Panthers out-shot the Sailfish 10-0 in the first half.
  • Tech continued to fire shots as they recorded five more until the 54th minute.
  • Florida Tech broke the tie in the 56th minute as Lauryn Wood scored her third goal of the season with the assist credited to Savannah Oxley.
  • PBA tallied their first shots of the match in the 59th and 60th minute with Kaitlin Sinkler notching a save.
  • Florida Tech kept the pressure on with shots in the 74th and 81st minute. One was saved while two were off target.
  • In the 85th minute, all of Tech's hard work on the offensive paid off as Katie Ormerod put one in the back of the net with her left foot to extend the Tech lead to 2-0.

  • With the win, Florida Tech is now 19-3-0 against Palm Beach Atlantic and the Panthers extend their winning streak against the Sailfish to seven consecutive.
  • Kaitlin Sinkler earned her second clean sheet of the 2025 season.
