MELBOURNE, Fla. – The Florida Tech women's soccer team dominated in their first game of the 2025 season with five goals against Auburn Montgomery on Friday, Sept. 5.

STATS OF THE MATCH
- The Panthers came out aggressive within the first five minutes as they fired two shots on the Warhawks defense.
- After just missing out on a goal in the fifth minute, Katie Ormerod put the ball in the back of the net in the 11th minute to notch the Panthers first goal of the 2025 season.
- Tech remained on the offensive as they fired five shots within the next nine minutes.
- Florida Tech extended their lead as Lauryn Wood snuck one by the Auburn Montgomery goalkeeper in the 21st minute.
- Tech ripped eight more shots to no avail as they would go into halftime with a 2-0 lead.
- It didn't take long for the Panthers to continue their momentum from the first half into the second half as Lauryn Wood would add her second goal on the night, assisted by Alice Mottershead in the 46th minute.
- Florida tech would score twice more before the 60-minute mark as Savannah Oxley earned her first goal of the season with assists by Ada Geier and Alice Mottershead. Sara Batchadji would score after the Warhawk goalkeeper saved a shot off her hand right into the foot of Batchadji for her first goal of the season.
- The Panthers continued to control the game as AUM would not record a single shot during the game.

- Florida Tech moves to 5-0-0 all-time against the Warhawks dating back to their first meeting in 2019.
- With goals in the 21st minute and 46th minute marks Lauryn Wood's fifth career multi-goal game.
