ORLANDO, Fla. – Florida Tech women's swimming's Melissa Zucco has been tabbed the Sunshine State Conference Women's Swimmer of the Week, as announced by the league office. Monday.
 
Zucco, a sophomore from Turin, Italy, earns SSC Swimmer of the Week honors for her performance in the meet against Rollins on Wednesday, Jan. 7.
 
She helped the 400 Medley Relay team to a first-place finish with a time of 3:57.78. Zucco then won the 100 Back with a time of 57.99 and the 200 back as she swam a time of 2:06.74.
 
Zucco finished off her perfect day with a first-place finish in the 400 Free Relay as she aided the "A" team to the win with a time of 3:39.78.
 
She and the rest of the Panthers will be back in action on Saturday, Jan. 17 as they take on No. 17 Lynn in their final meet of the 2025-26 regular season.
