ORLANDO, Fla. – Florida Tech goalkeeper Elias Ronning Orn has been named the Sunshine State Conference Defensive Player of the Week following his four-save shutout against No. 17 Florida Southern.

The honor is Orn's fourth of his career and comes in the conference's final weekly awards of the season. He earned a program-record three SSC Defensive Player of the Week selections last season as a freshman.

Orn stopped all four shots on goal he faced against the nationally ranked Moccasins to help Florida Tech clinch its first SSC regular season title in 33 years. The championship marked the Panthers' first since 1993.

Tech hosts the quarterfinals of the SSC Championships on Monday afternoon against the eighth-seeded Rollins.
