WINTER PARK, Fla. – The Florida Tech women's lacrosse team falls on the road to Rollins in double overtime on Saturday, Feb. 7. With the loss, Tech moves to 0-1 while the Tars improve to 1-0 on the season.

GAME NOTES
FIRST QUARTER
- Rollins seized momentum first as the Tars scored within the first 30 seconds of the game.
- Gillian Craig brought Tech even with her first goal of the season a minute into the game.
- Rollins had a good look at the Panther net, but Bridget Robinson made a great save to keep the game tied at the 12:12 mark.
- Phoebe Hurt put the Panthers ahead off an assist by Craig with 10:18 remaining in the quarter.
- The Tars evened the score at the 5:11 mark at 2-2.
- Tech quickly responded as Isa Brown found the back of the net for her first collegiate goal.
- Rollins was able to tie the game at 3-3 with a goal at 2:51.
SECOND QUARTER
- Two goals by the Tars early in the second period put the Panthers down 5-3.
- Sophia Scichilone brought Tech within one with her first goal of the season with 10:33 on the clock.
- Scichilone struck again two minutes later to tie the game at 5-5 with an assist by Clare McGuire.
- Both teams traded point under five minutes as Sofie Bender fired a seed to the back of the Rollins net. The Tars scored a minute after.
- Rollins took the lead with 2:20 left in the second period and again with two seconds left to go into half with an 8-6 lead.
- Bridget Robinson saved four shots for the second consecutive period.
THIRD QUARTER
- Tech came out of the half on the offensive as they scored with 13:57 as Isabelle Perry scored and again with 11 minutes remaining as Gillian Craig scored a man-up goal to tie the game at 8-8.
- Great defense by both sides kept each other scoreless until 5:55 on the clock as Rollins took another lead with a goal.
- Isa Brown responded 40 seconds later with her second goal of the game.
- The Tars scored back-to-back goals with four minutes left to take an 11-9 lead over Tech.
- Gillian Craig ended the Tars quick 2-0 run with a goal with three minutes left in the third period.
FOURTH QUARTER
- After a draw control by Ailish Fitzpatrick, Clare McGuire put one past the Rollins goalie to bring Tech even.
- Scichilone gave the Panthers the lead with a goal with 12:46 on the clock. Gillian Craig was credited with the assist.
- The wild, back-and-forth game continued as Rollins tied it up again a minute later.
- Isa Brown and Sofie Bender scored with nine minutes left in the quarter to give the Panthers a 14-12 lead.
- Rollins got both points back with goals with 6:21 and 5:56 on the clock.
- Tied 14-14, Rollins had the ball with the clock winding down. The Tars fired at the Panthers net, but Bridget Robinson made a terrific save to preserve the tie and send the game to overtime.
OT
- After a nice save by the Rollins goalie, Robinson put on a clinic in net as she made three consecutive saves to keep the Panthers alive.
- Abby Cudzilo fired a shot with 1:48 left but was stopped by the Tars goalkeeper.

- Tech had two great opportunities to score in the second overtime. One shot was just wide while the other was saved on a free position shot with three minutes remaining.
- Rollins was able to score the game-winner with 2:34 left in double overtime.
BEYOND THE BOXSCORE
- Bridget Robinson was outstanding in her season-debut as she saved 16 shots.
- Tech was dominant in draw controls as they lead Rollins 23-9 in the category. Clare McGuire and Emma Angelo had seven each.
- Scichilone, Brown and Craig registered hat tricks while Craig led the way with six points.
