MELBOURNE, Fla. – Florida Tech softball broke open a tight game with a late offensive surge to take down Lynn 9–4. Fueled by
Emma Chisholm's two-home run performance and a clutch sixth inning, the Panthers pulled away in dominant fashion.

- Sammy Murphy set the tone early, retiring the side in order in the first inning with a strikeout and two fly balls to keep Lynn off the board.
- Despite a Panthers leadoff walk and a hit-by-pitch, the remained scoreless after one.
- Lynn hit solo home run on two outs to take the early 1-0 lead
- The Panthers answered immediately as Jillian Moeller led off the bottom half with a solo shot to tie the game at 1–1.
- Tech took control in the third inning when Miranda Schwartz singled and Emma Chisholm followed with a two-run home run, giving the Panthers a 3–1 lead.
- Murphy continued to deal in the middle innings, recording three strikeouts in two 1-2-3 innings in the third and fourth.
- The Fighting Knights chipped away in the fifth with a sacrifice fly to make it 3–2, but Murphy stopped any more runs with a punchout to a pinch hitter.
- Chisholm hit her second home run of the game to leadoff the bottom of the fifth, pushing the Tech advantage back to two.
- Moeller added an RBI single then helped another run scoring on an aggressive baserunning play to extend the lead to 6–2.
- Lynn rallied in the sixth with a two-run home run from Teagan Riley to cut the deficit to 6–4.
- In the bottom of the sixth, Schwartz doubled down the third base line and later scored on a fielding error.
- The following batter, Brianna Garcia delivered a two-RBI triple to push the lead to 9–4.
- The Panthers closed it out in the seventh, holding Lynn scoreless to secure the 9–4 victory.

- Tech moved to 68-30 all-time versus Lynn and 23-4 since the start of the 2018 season.
- The Panthers are 40-14 at home against the Fighting Knights, including a 24-5 mark under Val Silvestrini
- Chisholm broke the Panthers single-season home run record, crushing her 14th and 15th of the season.
UP NEXT: The Panthers return to Nancy Bottge Field for a doubleheader against Lynn on Saturday, March 21. The first game is set to begin at noon.
