STATS OF THE GAME:
- Saint Leo jumped out early in the first inning with a pair of home runs, a two-run shot and a solo homer, to take a 3–0 lead.
- Tech threatened to cut into the deficit when Kate Rodel tripled to right centerfield with one out, but two runners were left stranded.
- The Lions added to their lead in the second inning on a two-RBI single, extending the advantage to 5–0.
- Singles from Chloe Fariello and Emma Chisholm in the third had the Panthers in scoring position again but was unable to capitalize.
- Saint Leo continued to build its lead with a sacrifice fly in the fourth inning and another run in the fifth to make it 7–0.
- The Panthers put runners on late, including hits in the fifth and seventh innings, but were unable to break through offensively, falling to the Lions 7-0
