GAME NOTES
FIRST QUARTER
- The Moccasins seized early momentum as they scored within the first minute.
- Florida Southern won the ensuing draw and got a shot on the Tech goal, but Bridget Robinson was there to save it.
- Robinson made another great save after the Panthers were hit with a green card.
- Eva Del Valle caused a FSC turnover. After she picked up the ground ball and led Tech into transition, Gillian Craig hit her 55th goal of the season.
- Sophia Scichilone forced the Mocs into a turnover, then scored her 24th goal of the season to put the Panthers in front.
- With two minutes remaining in the quarter, Florida Southern tied the game at 2-2.
SECOND QUARTER
- Florida Southern started the second period with possession and fired a shot at the Tech goal early that was saved by Robinson.
- FSC forced the Panthers into a turnover on the clear following Robinson's save which led to the Mocs taking a 3-2 lead.
- The Mocs kept the momentum on their sideline as they put one into the back of the net on a power play following a yellow card on the Panthers.
- Michaela Wittman earned poked the ball away from the Mocs and earned the caused turnover. Clare McGuire cashed in her first goal of the afternoon to bring Tech within two.
- FSC scored at the 6:59 and 6:06 marks to take a 7-3 lead over Florida Tech.
- Gillian Craig punched in her second goal of the game with 1:28 remaining in the half.
- The Mocs outshot the Panthers 14-5 in the quarter.
THIRD QUARTER
- Gillian Craig took advantage of a man-up situation and earned the hat trick.
- After Florida Southern scored, Craig fired one passed the FSC keeper for her fourth goal of the day off an assist by Scichilone.
- Neither team would score again in the quarter as Tech's defense caused a turnover and Robinson saved two shots from the Mocs.
- The Mocs won all four draws in the quarter. Tech was a perfect 4-for-4 in clears.
FOURTH QUARTER
- Florida Southern's defense was stingy to start the quarter as they forced the Panthers into four turnovers within the first four minutes.
- The Mocs would score on three consecutive possessions to extend their lead to 12-6.
- Abby Cudzilo assisted Gillian Craig's fifth goal of the day with just under six minutes remaining.
- Sofie Bender notched her 33rd goal of the season with 41 seconds left but Florida Southern was too far ahead.
BEYOND THE BOXSCORE
- With her even saves in the first half, Bridget Robinson broke the program's single season record for saves in a season previously held by Stephanie Stuart.
- Gillian Craig recorded her 30th career hat trick and is the third player in program history to reach that mark.
- Sophia Scichilone's 37 consecutive games with a point, beginning on Apr. 10, 2024, sets a new school record.
- Craig's 24 consecutive games with multiple goals, beginning on Mar. 22, 2025, sets a new school record.
