ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – Florida Tech split the doubleheader with Eckerd, cruising to an 8–0 run-rule victory in Game Two before falling 4–0 in the final game of the series. The Panthers dominated early behind a big offensive showing and strong pitching, but couldn't overcome an early deficit in the nightcap.
GAME ONE:

- Tech jumped out early as Emma Chisholm launched a solo home run in the first inning to take a 1–0 lead.
- In her first start since Lynn, Kelsey Hahn allowed back-to-back singles but ended the threat on a swinging strikeout.
- The Panthers broke it open in the second inning, plating four runs highlighted by Chisholm's RBI double and a two-RBI single from Malaya Nelson to extend the lead to 5–0.
- Tech added two more in the third, capitalizing on defensive miscues to push the advantage to 7–0.
- Hahn allowed a single in each of the final two innings but held the Tritons off the scoreboard.
- Kate Rodel delivered an RBI double in the fourth to make it 8–0 as the Panthers continued to pour it on offensively.
- After a single, Hahn put the next three batters down in order for the 8-0 victory in five innings.

STATS OF THE GAME:
- Eckerd hit two home runs in the bottom of the first, taking a quick 3–0 lead.
- Following a tough first inning, Sammy Murphy settled in by striking out two in the second and third.
- Murphy didn't let up a hit until the leadoff hitter in the fifth inning. Where the Tritons added an insurance run in the fifth inning on a bases-loaded hit-by-pitch to extend the lead to 4–0.
- However, Murphy struck out the final batter swinging in the fifth and the sixth.
- The Panthers managed to get a hit on a Malaya Nelson single in the seventh provided a late opportunity.
- Eckerd held on to secure the 4–0 win in game two.
NOTABLE PANTHERS:
- Malaya Nelson went 4-for-7 on the afternoon, including a 3-for-4 and 2 RBI performance in Game Two.
- In Game Two, Emma Chisholm recorded two extra-base hits, including a solo shot.
- Kelsey Hahn pitched a shutout Game Two while striking out four batters.
- Six Panthers registered a hit in Game Two and four drove in an RBI.
- Sammy Murphy sat down a whopping eight in Game Three in a complete game.
BEYOND THE BOXSCORE:
- The Panthers are still 94-39 all-time against the Tritons.
- Since the start of the 2016 season, the Panthers have gone 21-9 against the Tritons, winning eight of ten series in that time.
- Tech is 39-21 at Eckerd since 1991 and have won eight of the eleven three-game series against the Tritons at Turley Athletic Complex since the SSC switched from the season series being two at home and two away to one three-game series ahead of the 2004 season.
- Emma Chisholm's two extra-base hits broke the program single season extra-base hit record of 26 set by Amy Potter in 1996.
