GAME NOTES
FIRST QUARTER
- The Panthers were tested early on defense as the Moccasins first two possessions ended in saves by Jax Francisco.
- Thomas Strong put Tech on the board first off an assist by Robert McNamara.
- Noah Guarrera forced a Florida Southern turnover which led to a Gavin Stecher goal.
- Tech continued to increase their lead as Max Henry found Joe Coveleski as FT went up 3-0.
- FSC scored their first goal of the game with 38 seconds remaining in the quarter.
SECOND QUARTER
- Florida Tech's defense fueled the offense early in the second period as they forced two turnovers by the Mocs which led to goals by Robert McNamara and Rob Gadomski.
- Florida Southern's next two possessions ended in turnovers caused by Steve Ulrichs and Brooks van Esslestyn.
- Tech scored again with 5:19 left in the half as Parker Kane scored off Max Henry's second assist of the night.
- Tech's defense continued to give FSC fits as Zack Ough and Max Henry caused turnovers as the Panthers held Florida Southern scoreless in the second.
THIRD QUARTER
- The Tech lead grew to 8-1 as Max Henry and Aidan Addison beat the Florida Southern keeper early in the third.
- The Mocs scored at the 6:37 mark, but Florida Tech earned it back as Joe Coveleski found the back of the net with 3:11 on the clock. The assist came from Jack Cornwell.
- Florida Southern scored just under two minutes, but the Panthers held a controlling 9-3 lead.
FOURTH QUARTER
- Landon Addleman scored off an assist from Thomas Strong as Tech reached double-digits.
- J.D Ross became the 10th different Panther to score with a goal with 9:06 left in the game.
- Jax Francisco and the Panther defense held off multiple attacks from the Mocs as Francisco recorded four saves tin the quarter to keep FSC no chance at a comeback.
BEYOND THE BOXSCORE
- 10 different Panthers scored.
- The Panthers are now 7-0 at home which is the most home wins in a single season in program history.
- Joe Coveleski is now tied for ninth in program history with his two goals tonight.
- This is Tech's first three-game winning streak against Florida Southern in program history.
- With 11 saves tonight, Jax Francisco now has 10 double-digit save games this season.
