GAME NOTES
  • The Eagles were the aggressors early as two ERAU shots turned into two corners for Embry-Riddle. Both corners were well defended by the Panthers as neither became shots.
  • Tech earned back-to-back corners in the eighth and ninth minutes. Eboni Bradshaw had a terrific look at the net, but her shot sailed high.
  • Embry-Riddle planted a shot on goal in the 10th minute that was stopped by Mette Brandes.
  • The Panthers earned a corner in the 20th minute where Rio Naganawa had a perfect cross into the box where Lotte Waibel rose above the Eagle defenders and headed a ball over the keeper and into the net for the first goal of the game.
  • The Eagles in the 31st minute worked the ball down the field and got a shot off on the Panthers net that was saved by Brandes.
  • Waibel and Ellinor Blaasternes fired shots in the 33rd and 35th minutes but were saved by the Eagle keeper.
  • Nina Santiago and Iselin Brualokken attempted to tack onto the Panther lead, but neither shot found the back of the Eagle net.
  • Embry-Riddle had multiple chances out of half to tie the game. ERAU's shots in the 47th minutes hit the right woodwork and the second sailed out top right. In the 49th minute, the Eagles shot was just out to the left.
  • After an offside call on Embry-Riddle, Alice Mottershead drew a foul inside the box and earned the Panthers first penalty kick of the season. Mottershead's shot was perfectly placed and unsavable as Tech staked themselves to a 2-0 lead.
  • Tech continued to fire at the Eagles net with multiple shots in the 64th and 65th minutes. The Panthers earned two corners in that span.
  • Ellinor Blaasternes hit the dagger from outside the box in the 81st minute to secure the Panthers eight win of the season.
