2022: Played and started 50 games collecting a .304 batting average in 204 at bats with 62 hits. Newton posted 43 runs, 12 doubles, three triples, two home runs, 48 RBIs, and a .436 slugging percentage. Jakob registered 26 walks, five hit by pitches, and a .388 on base percentage.
 
2021: Played and started 27 games collecting a .267 batting average in 92 at bats with 24 hits. Jakob posted 20 runs, a double, a triple, two home runs, 17 RBIs, and a slugging of .359. Newton registered 19 walks, three hit by pitches, and a on base percentage of .397. 

2020: Played and started 24 games collecting a batting average of .282 in 85 at bats with 24 hits. Newton posted 11 runs, two home runs, 12 RBIs, and a .400 slugging percentage. Additionally, recorded 14 walks, two hit by pitch, and a on base percentage of .392. 

2019: Played in 36 games and started 32 games...Recorded 23 runs, 30 hits, six doubles, two triples, and two home runs...Tallied 12 RBI's and a .380 slugging percentage.

2018: Competed in 47 games, starting in 44 of them recording 20 runs off 41 hits which five of them were doubles and two were triples. Having a batting average of 0.259 and scoring two home runs. 

High School: Played football, baseball, basketball and ran track... Named football Athlete of the Month, baseball MVP and basketball Athlete of the Month... Received Steve Savin Competition and Spirit Award... Aided basketball team to earn silver medal... Help baseball team to finish season with a 8-0 record... Led football team to semifinals.

Personal: Son of David and Jacqueline Newton... Has one sister Sydney... Chose Florida Tech for its outstanding baseball program and academic.
