Biography

2022: Appeared in 14 games and started nine of them pitching 60.2 innings. Hecht recorded a 3-1 record on the season, and one save. Joey struck out 31 batters and posted a 4.15 ERA. Hecht was named the SSC Pitcher of the Week for his performance against #7 Nova Southeastern where he allowed two hits, two runs, struck out five Sharks, threw 95 pitches, and did not give up a hit until the seventh inning.
 
2021: Appeared in seven games and started one pitching 12.1 innings recording 10 strikeouts on the year. 

Previous College: Attended Daytona Beach College for two years where he played baseball. 

High School: Attended Centerville High School where he played baseball and collected three varsity letters. 

Club: Three year member of the Dayton Classics. 

Personal: Chose Florida Tech for academics and a chance to continue his baseball career.
