2025 Women's Soccer

WSOC National Championship    The Panthers struck first in the 14th minute when Alice Mottershead played Lauryn Wood in behind the defense. Wood fired from the end     line, and the ball found the back of the net through traffic to give Tech a 1–0 lead. Goalkeeper Kaitlin Sinkler made several key saves to     preserve the advantage heading into halftime.

    With 16 minutes remaining, Sofia Posner delivered a perfect cross into the box that Peyton White headed home for the first goal of her
    collegiate career, doubling the Panthers’ lead to 2–0. Florida Tech put the match away with 2:36 left as Naganawa finished from the top of     the box after a buildup involving Mottershead and Posner, sealing the 3–0 victory.
    
    The win secured the Panthers’ first national championship in program history.

2017 Men's Swimming - 200 Freestyle Relay

     The relay team of Nir BarneaVictor Rocha FurtadoMatthew Gallene and Filip Dujmic entered the 200 free finals race fresh off an impressive          performance in the morning prelims, as the squad wrapped up the top overall seed with a blistering, and school record pace, of 1:19.47. The Panthers      continued their momentum in the final heat, surpassing the school mark and securing the program's first national title with a time of 1:19.46.

      Following the first leg by Barnea (20.20), Tech found itself in third place as Rocha Furtado dove into the pool. However, strong splits by Rocha Furtado           (19.90), Gallene (19.61) and Dujmic (19.75) in the final two legs earned the Panthers the crown, besting second place Bloomsburg by .19 seconds.

1991 Men's Soccer

     Florida Tech earned its second National Championship on December 7, 1991 after defeating Sonoma State 5-1. Head coach - Rick Stottler.
   
    Sonoma State was first on the board with an offensive rush as Ben Zeimer scored to take a 1-0 lead 11 minutes in. The Panthers responded with 15 minutes     remaining in the first half; Colin Semwayo redirected a Colin Prest shot into the net, tying the game 1-1.  

    With 23 minutes remaining in the second half, Edward Enders was taken down in the box. Richard Sharpe converted the penalty kick to give Florida Tech  a     2-1 lead. Less than two minutes later, Sharpe scored on a 25-yard bullet to advance the lead 3-1.
    
    The Panthers made it 4-1 five minutes later when Semwayo scored his second goal of the match. Sharpe completed his hat trick - the 8th time he scored     three or more goals in a game during the 1991 season -to cap the 5-1 triumph.

1988 Men's Soccer

Florida Tech men's soccer earned their first National Championship title on December 4, 1988, after defeating defending champions Cal State Northridge 3-2. Head coach - Rick Stottler.

Both teams scored a pair of goals in the first half, with Tech's Fitzgerald Haig the first to find the back of the net from five yards out off a rebound.
CSUN tied it up with a goal by Scott Piri at 17:39, but Robin Chan was able to take back the lead five minutes later with a goal from 25 yards out. Northridge once again tied it up, this time off a penalty kick with less than a minute remaining in the first half. 

The winning goal came at 47:11, two minutes into the second half when Edward Grosso scored off a corner kick from the right side by Steve Freeman. Grosso
found himself alone in front of the goal and headed the ball into the left side of the net.

The Panthers finished the season 15-6.
