2019: Registered 17 appearance collecting 25 strikeouts... Barney pitched 32.1 innings with a 4.45 ERA and  two and one record...Named to Florida Tech Athletic Director's Honor Roll. 

2018: Made 18 appearance starting one game... Collected 26 strikeouts and only eight walks with a 4.45 ERA on the year... Collected a season-high of five strikeouts in his only start against Walsh...Named to FIT Athletic Director's Honor Roll.

2017: Named to FIT Athletic Director's Honor Roll... Made 14 appearances... Collected 20 strikeouts and four walks in 20 innings pitched, for an ERA of 2.70... Recorded a season-high of four strikeouts in win over Spring Hill College (Feb. 18).

High School: Attended American Heritage Boca/Delray...graduated with a 4.68 GPA...was Team Captain and named Defensive Player of the Year for the Stallions...Dick Howser All Star pitcher, HSBN All Star Pitcher, 2nd Team All American, First Team Sun Sentinel, All Area Team his senior year.

Personal: Son of Wayne and Virginia Barney...has one sister, Olivia (13)...chose Florida Tech for its smaller status and the one-on-one relationships with professors...after Florida Tech he would like to play baseball or become an engineer to help build his community...admires his parents the most because they both work hard for where they are today.
