Former Florida Tech standout Randy Echols returns to the men’s basketball program as a graduate assistant coach for his first season in 2016-17.
Echols was a five year member of the Panther basketball team from 2011-16 and appeared in 98 total games under head coach Billy Mims.
In his final season at Florida Tech in 2015-16, Echols appeared in 28 games, making seven starts. He averaged 9.3 points and 2.8 rebounds in 21.0 minutes per game while shooting 46.4% from the field and 72.4% from the free throw line. Echols led the Sunshine State Conference in three-point field goal precentage (.449) and scored in double-figures in 15 contests.
He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology in Spring of 2016 and is currently earning a Master’s Business Administration at Florida Tech.
