Jeff Cooney Jr. comes to Florida Tech from Bryant & Stratton College (VA), a National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Region 10 member out of Virginia Beach, Va., where he served as the Sports Information Coordinator for the athletics department since November 2022.
During his time at Bryant & Stratton, Cooney was the primary contact for all nine of the Bobcats sports teams.
His day-to-day tasks included athletics website management, social media management, compiling live statistics, athletics marketing and promotions, and other duties.
Prior to Bryant & Stratton, Cooney served as a League & Operations Coordinator at the Virginia Beach Field House in Virginia Beach, Va. Where he operated and managed a 175,000-square-foot athletics facility.
Cooney a former collegiate athlete attended Methodist University where he lettered in Football for two years before transferring to Old Dominion University where he earned his Bachelor of Science in sport management in 2020.
