Billy Gibbs enters his fifth season as Assistant Men's Lacrosse Coach at Florida Tech, a role he's held since being added to the staff in August 2019.
In his role, Gibbs works with the midfielders and assists with both the offensive and defensive game plans.
Prior to Florida Tech, Gibbs spent two years with high school and club lacrosse programs in Brevard County. In 2017-18, he served as Assistant Coach at Viera High School where he ran the offense and assisted all areas of the program. He served as Head Coach/Director of the Space Coast Stingrays from 2018 to 2020. He currently serves as the owner and youth director/coach of Big Wave Lacrosse based out of Brevard County.
He also works as an engineer at Northrup Grumman in Melbourne.
Gibbs played lacrosse at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute from 2012 to 2016, where he was a captain and All-Conference defensive midfielder.
Gibbs is a 2016 graduate of RPI with a degree in Industrial Engineering.
