In his first two seasons with the Panthers, Hawley has helped guide the program to a 13–16 overall record while developing one of the conference’s top defensive units. Following the 2024 season, Florida Tech earned its first Sunshine State Conference Freshman of the Year in Joe Coveleski and placed five players on the All-SSC teams. The group was highlighted by first-team selection Ricky Fedorchak, who went on to earn USA Lacrosse and USILA All-America honors, along with USILA Scholar All-America and CSC Academic All-America recognition. The Panthers also secured the No. 3 seed in the SSC Tournament.
In 2023, Hawley’s first season on staff, four Panthers earned All-SSC honors, including first-team selection Sam Balch. Balch also received USILA All-South Region recognition and was named a USILA All-American.
Hawley joined Florida Tech after serving as a volunteer assistant coach at NCAA Division I Marquette University beginning in August 2021. While with the Golden Eagles, he worked closely with the goalies and defensive unit, helping the team reach the 2022 Big East Conference Championship semifinal.
Prior to Marquette, Hawley was an assistant coach at Virginia Wesleyan University, where he oversaw the goalies, defense, and man-down units. He also served as an assistant coach at Elizabethtown College, contributing to back-to-back Landmark Conference championships in 2018 and 2019 and earning Landmark Conference Coaching Staff of the Year honors in 2018.
As a player, Hawley was a standout goalkeeper at Lynchburg College from 2012 to 2016. In 2015, he earned USILA All-America Honorable Mention, First Team All-Conference (ODAC), First Team All-State honors, and was named to the ODAC All-Tournament Team. He also helped lead Lynchburg to conference championships in 2014 and 2015.
Following his collegiate career, Hawley played internationally with the Subiaco Lacrosse Club in Australia’s Men’s State League, where he was named Defensive MVP and received the John Keen Trophy in 2017. That same year, he participated in the Maverick Challenge, featuring competition between Australian and Japanese national teams.
Hawley has also contributed to the development of the sport through coaching education, serving as an instructor at the US Lacrosse Coaching Clinic in 2017 and 2019.
A native of Raleigh, North Carolina, Hawley earned his Bachelor of Science in Exercise Physiology with a concentration in Strength and Conditioning from Lynchburg College in May 2016.
