Ray Banister enters his fourth season as Assistant Men's Lacrosse Coach at Florida Tech. In his role, Banister works with the defense.
Banister played lacrosse at Jacksonville University from 2013 to 2016, where he was twice named to the Atlantic Sun Conference All-Academic Team. In 36 games, 13 of them starts, he scored twice in addition to 26 ground balls gathered and seven caused turnovers. He was named team Captain for the 2016 season.
He played three seasons at The Hill Academy in Caledon, Ontario, Canada where he was Captain for two seasons, during which time he led The Hill to the 2011 North American Lacrosse Invitational championship.
Banister is currently a PhD student with the Department of Ocean Engineering and Marine Sciences.
