Florida Tech Panthers

Zach Wynne

Zach Wynne serves as Assistant Coach and Offensive Coordinator for the Florida Tech men’s lacrosse program, a role he has held since his promotion in July 2021. He enters his seventh season overall with the Panthers in 2026, having previously spent the 2019–20 and 2020–21 seasons as a volunteer assistant coach.

In his current role, Wynne oversees the Panthers’ offensive system and has helped drive consistent improvement on that side of the field. Across the 2023 and 2024 seasons, Florida Tech posted a combined 13–16 record, while continuing to develop into one of the more competitive offensive units in the Sunshine State Conference. Following the 2024 season, the program earned its first SSC Freshman of the Year in Joe Coveleski and placed five players on All-SSC teams. The group was highlighted by first-team selection Ricky Fedorchak, who went on to earn USA Lacrosse, USILA All-America, USILA Scholar All-America, and CSC Academic All-America honors. The Panthers also earned the No. 3 seed in the SSC Tournament.

In 2023, Wynne helped guide four All-SSC selections, including first-team honoree Sam Balch, who also earned USILA All-South Region and All-America recognition.

During the 2022 season, Wynne contributed to a 10–6 overall record and a 5–2 mark in SSC play, as Florida Tech defeated three ranked opponents and secured the No. 4 seed in the conference tournament. The Panthers produced six All-SSC selections, including first-team honorees Zach Rozgonyi, Justin Williams, and Sam Balch, while Austin Engeler and Josh Vetter earned second-team recognition. Jakob Terpak was named to the All-Freshman Team, and Williams and Balch were also recognized as USILA All-Americans.

During his time as a volunteer assistant, Wynne played a key role in elevating Florida Tech’s offensive production. The Panthers increased their scoring output from 11.13 goals and 5.13 assists per game in 2020 to 12.5 goals and 7.25 assists per game in 2021. In addition to his offensive responsibilities, he supported recruiting efforts, player development, and alumni and parent engagement, helping coordinate team events and banquets.

Before joining Florida Tech, Wynne worked internationally in 2018 with QuickStix Lacrosse in Melbourne, Australia, where he coached youth players and assisted with Under-13 and Under-15 travel teams. He also played professionally for the Williamstown Pro Lacrosse Team during his time in Australia.

A former standout player for the Panthers, Wynne quarterbacked Florida Tech’s offense in 2015, earning All-Sunshine State Conference Second Team honors. He set the program’s single-season points record with 54 points on 27 goals and 27 assists, helping lead the Panthers to a 12–4 record and an appearance in the Sunshine State Conference Championship game.

Wynne is also co-owner of Big Wave Lacrosse, a youth development program on Florida’s Space Coast, and previously coached with the Landsharks Lacrosse Club as well as Melbourne Central Catholic High School.

He earned his bachelor’s degree in communications from Florida Tech in 2016.
