High School: Attended Argyll Centre in Edmonton, Alberta…awarded the Alexander Rutherford Scholarship and Premiere's Citizenship Award…member of National Society of High School Scholars.
National: Rowed for the Canadian Junior National Team in 2010.
Club: Rowed seven years for the Calgary Rowing Club.
Personal: Born Aug. 17, 1992…son of Larry and Annelise Freeman…chose Florida Tech for its engineering program, the proximity to NASA and the rowing team…after his Panther career, he would like to race for Canada's Olympic National Team and conduct research on hypersonic air-breathing engines…enjoys writing short fiction and music as well as wakeboarding and cycling…favorite sport is rowing and favorite athlete is Malcolm Howard…admires Edward Craven-Walker, the inventor of the Lava Lamp, because he has successfully mesmerized millions with liquid dough…enjoys reading Neverwhere and favorite author is Neil Gaiman…favorite movie is “Fight Club”…likes listening to Daft Punk and Bach…favorite vacation spot is Lake Powell, Ariz…would like to visit Japan.
