Nick Robinson

Nick Robinson enters his second season as Head Coach of the Florida Tech men’s soccer program, a position he assumed in May 2024 after serving as an assistant coach beginning in 2021 and being promoted to Associate Head Coach in December 2022.

Robinson has been a central figure in one of the most successful eras in Florida Tech men’s soccer history. During his time on staff, the Panthers compiled a 28–12–13 record while achieving sustained postseason success, including an undefeated regular season in 2022, the program’s first Sunshine State Conference Tournament Championship, a Sweet 16 appearance, and a 2023 Super Region II Championship that culminated in a Final Four run.

In 2023, Robinson helped guide the development of the program’s first-ever National Player of the Year, junior defender Sjur Drechsler. That season, the Panthers earned three USC All-American selections, multiple All-Region honors, and six All-SSC honorees. Across the previous two seasons, Florida Tech also produced Defensive Player of the Year goalkeeper Luis Tovar Romero Sr., multiple All-Americans, and several Academic All-American and Academic All-District selections. Robinson and the coaching staff were recognized as the USC Division II South Region Coaching Staff of the Year in both 2022 and 2023, as well as the Sunshine State Conference Coaching Staff of the Year in 2022.

A former Florida Tech standout player from 2009 to 2011, Robinson returned to the program after serving as a graduate assistant coach from 2012 to 2014 and later gaining additional collegiate coaching experience at Eastern Florida State College from 2016 to 2020. At EFSC, he helped lead the program to a 55–14–7 record, three consecutive Region 8 championships, and an NJCAA National Championship Game appearance in 2019. The program also finished in the top 10 nationally in each of his four seasons on staff and produced multiple All-Americans and academic award winners.

Robinson has also built a highly successful high school coaching career as the head coach at Viera High School since 2015, compiling a record of 142–26–12. Under his leadership, the program captured multiple regional championships, district titles, and a state championship, including an undefeated 2022–23 season. He has earned numerous coaching honors, including USC State Coach of the Year, USC Regional Coach of the Year, and multiple Coach of the Year recognitions at the state and regional levels.

In addition to his collegiate and high school success, Robinson guided Space Coast United’s U19 team to a Florida Youth Soccer Association State Championship in 2019.

As a player, Robinson competed at Florida Tech from 2009 to 2011, earning All-Sunshine State Conference honors twice and NSCAA All-South Region recognition as a senior. He appeared in 45 matches, recording 14 goals, seven assists, and six game-winning goals. Prior to transferring, he played at Lees-McRae College in 2008, where he helped lead the program to an undefeated conference season, Conference Carolinas titles, and an NCAA Sweet 16 appearance.

Robinson earned both his bachelor’s degree in business administration (2012) and master’s degree in business administration (2013) from Florida Tech. He holds NSCAA National and Advanced National Diplomas, a USSF C License, and is currently completing his USSF B License. He resides in Melbourne with his wife, Skylar, and their three children, Mason, Harper-Jean, and Tyson.
