Christina Hardman was promoted to Associate Athletic Director for External Operations on June 7, 2024.
She directly oversees Florida Tech's Athletic Communications department, Game Operations, and Promotions and Community Engagement.
Hardman joined Florida Tech as the Assistant Director of Athletic Communications in August of 2021 and later became Associate Athletic Director for Communications in July 2022.
Her responsibilities included leading the development, implementation, and management of the public relations strategy for Florida Tech's 15 varsity athletic teams. She also supervised the communications staff and student employees, managed the communications budget, coordinated all live video streaming production and social media development, produced all athletic department digital and print assets, and coordinated and compiled all historical data.
Prior to her role at Florida Tech, Christina Hardman made significant contributions at West Liberty University in West Virginia. She served as the Athletic Operations Specialist from January 2021 and was the Graduate Assistant for Operations and Sports Information from August 2019 to December 2020, gaining valuable experience and skills.
During her time at West Liberty, Hardman served as the contact for all the Hilltoppers sports teams, producing press releases, collecting and maintaining up-to-date statistics, promoting student-athletes and teams on social media and publications, and coordinating the streaming of game broadcasts.
Additionally, Hardman worked as a Front Office Intern with MiLB’s Connecticut Tigers during the summer of 2019 and as the Event Management and Marketing Intern for the Connecticut Sports Management Group in 2018, assisting with the ShopRite Nutmeg State Games.
A former Division I student-athlete, Hardman was a member of the women’s rowing team at Sacred Heart University from 2016 to 2019. She received the team’s Coaches Award in 2017, the Most Dedicated Award in 2018, and the Comeback Award in 2019. During her time at Sacred Heart, she also served as a student assistant in the athletic department’s External Relations Office. She assisted in sports information, game day, and box office operations.
Hardman graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Sports Management and Finance from Sacred Heart in May 2019 and completed her master’s in business administration from West Liberty in May 2021.
