Biography
High School: Attended Belen Jesuit Prep in Miami, Florida…rowed three years at varsity level…two-time state champion in lightweight eight (2013, 2014)…placed second at SRAA Nationals (2013, 2014) and came in sixth in youth nationals (2014).
Personal: Son of Victor and Nadia Ugas…has two brothers Jose and Santiago…Jose rowed competitively in high school and won nationals in double and quad in 2005…chose Florida Tech for its strong academic and strong rowing program…admires his father because he’s shown him that he can do great things in life as long as you put the work in.
