Biography

2017: Named Florida Tech Scholar-Athlete of the Year... Selected to Florida Tech Athletic Director's Honor Roll... Received FIT Senior Award... Ranked 7th in SSC for doubles (16) and 9th for at-bats (209)... Started all the 50 games played... Ended senior season with a batting average of .359, a slugging percentage of .603 and an on-base percentage of .421... Accumulated 75 hits, of which 11 were doubles and one triple... Collected 22 walks, 47 runs scored and 42 runs batted in... Registered a season-high of two home runs against Quinsy (Feb. 26)... Recorded a season-high of four RBIs in win over Eckerd (May 13).

2016: CoSIDA Academic All-District...named NCBWA Division II Preseason All-South Region Second Team...started in all 30 games in which he appeared before having season shortened due to injury...batted .326 with four home runs, 32 RBIs and 34 runs scored...reached base safely in 27 of 30 contests...recorded seven stolen bases...tallied 15 multi-hit efforts, including a 4-for-5 performance with three doubles against Albany State (2/26)...went 2-for-4 with a home run, double, three RBIs, two runs scored and two stolen bases in season opener versus Rollins (1/29)...placed on FIT Athletic Director’s Honor Roll.

2015: ABCA/Rawlings Second Team All-South Region...Second Team All-SSC...started in all 51 games...batted .417 with 3 home runs, 39 RBIs and a team-high 58 runs scored...led the team with a .478 on-base percentage...topped the conference with 90 hits...top-3 in the SSC in batting average, on-base percentage and runs scored...compiled an 18-game hit streak...reached base in 49 of 51 games...tallied 11 stolen bases...went 4-for-4 with a home run, two RBIs, four runs scored, a walk and a stolen base in a 20-1 win over Pace (2/14)...named to the SSC Spring Commissioner's Honor Roll.

Florida Atlantic: Played one season at Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, Fla…saw action in 11 games with four starts as a freshman…recorded four hits in 17 at-bats including a double and a triple…hit with a . 235 average and drove in four runs.

High School: Attended Viera High School in Viera, Fla...six-year varsity letterman from seventh through twelfth grade...served as team captain junior and senior year...named to the FACA All-State team junior and senior years and named FACA Player of the Year in 2012...in 2012 named first team All-County and named to the All-Space Coast team...helped team win first ever District Championship…part of the Florida Futures Collegiate League All-Star and All-Futures teams.

Personal: Son of Mike and Nicole Neal…has one brother, Alec…father Mike played baseball at Florida Tech…chose Florida Tech to follow in his father’s footsteps…admires former Stanford and current Huston Astros pitcher Mark Appel…pursing a degree in mechanical engineering…post-graduation goal of playing professional baseball or working in engineering.
