ORLANDO, Fla. (Volleyball) – The Florida Tech volleyball team (3-11) returned to winning ways Friday, earning a sweep over Mississippi College (8-12) in the first match of the South Region Crossover, presented by Junior's Catering, in Orlando, Florida.
FIT, who won the match with set scores of 25-18, 25-18 and 25-19, saw its 11-game skid come to an end in the victory over the Choctaws. The Panthers outhit MC .276 to .168 in the contest, while collecting more total blocks 8-5.

Kelly Germain who notched 17 kills and five digs.
Olivia Hersey had an impressive all-around performance as well, finishing with nine kills on a match-high hit percentage of .444, to go along with seven total blocks and three digs.
Jenna Schaffer tallied eight kills, six digs and three service aces.
Kiersten Rosa led all players with 32 assists in addition to collecting three kills, three digs and three block assists.
Becca Bower and
Nicole Fortuna finished with 15 and 10 digs, apiece.
Jenna Campbell paced the Choctaws with 11 kills in the match, while Kayana Mitchell added four kills. Sydney Chandler recorded 12 assists and Bailee Berringer also dished out 12 assists to go along with a team-high nine digs.
Florida Tech is back in action at the South Region Crossover on Saturday with matches against Gulf South Conference opponents Lee and West Georgia at 10 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. ET, respectively.
