CAMBRIDGE, Mass. (Men's Rowing) – On Sunday, Florida Tech wrapped up competition at the Head of the Charles Regatta, racing in three total events over the weekend on the Charles River.
In the premiere race for the Panthers, the championship four took 14
th with a time of 18:07.872, just behind boats from Harvard and Yale.
The collegiate four boat had the best performance of the weekend, winning their race in 17:57.78, well ahead of the boats from Middlebury and San Diego.
Unfortunately the championship double did not fare as well, experiencing a broken ore during the race and finishing 24
th in 27:24.02.
"The champ four did not have a good race, but we have a chance to come back and fix what went wrong before our next event," said head coach
Jim Granger. "The collegiate four had a very solid race and was able to win despite starting out in the back of the pack. I think Jaiden did a great job with the course and whole crew remained focused and result was a solid win."
