INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (Men's Soccer) – Florida Tech men's soccer has been selected as the No. 3 seed in the South Region in this year's NCAA Division II Men's Soccer Championships, announced by the NCAA office Monday.
It was a Sunshine State Conference sweep of the South Region bids as FIT joins No. 1 seed Lynn, No. 2 Palm Beach Atlantic and No. 4 Tampa.
The Panthers (11-4-1) will square off with PBA (13-5-1) in the first round of the NCAA Tournament on Sunday, Nov. 13, at the Marshall and Vera Lea Rinker Athletic Campus in West Palm Beach, Florida. Kickoff is set for 4 p.m. ET.
The winner of Sunday's match will move on to the Round of 16, which will be held the following weekend at campus sites. The winner will face off against the winner of the second round match between Lynn University and the University of Tampa, who were named the No. 1 and 4 seeds respectively.
FIT and PBA met once this season with the Sailfish coming away with a 2-1 overtime victory at home on Sept. 28.

Two to six teams were selected from each of the eight regions. Teams from the same region will be paired for first- and/or second-round competition, which will be conducted November 10-13 on campus sites. Third-round/quarterfinals will be held on campus sites and completed by November 20. The semifinals and final will be played December 1 and 3 at Children's Mercy Victory Field at Swope Soccer Village in Kansas City, Missouri, hosted by Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association and Kansas City Sports Commission.
