BOCA RATON, Fla. (Volleyball) – The Florida Tech volleyball team (2-8, 0-2 SSC) faltered on the road Thursday night, losing 3-0 to Sunshine State Conference foe Lynn (8-3, 2-1 SSC) with set scores of 25-11, 25-21 and 25-15.
FIT struggled against the Fighting Knights' frontline, producing an attack percentage of 0.077 with 26 kills and 20 hit errors for the match. LU, on the other hand, racked up a hit rate of 0.333 on 37 kills and just 10 errors.
Kelly Germain paced the Panthers with 13 kills, five digs and two total blocks.
Samantha Reeves and
Jenna Schaffer recorded four kills, apiece, with Reeves also registering a team-best attack percentage of 0.429.
Kiersten Rosa collected 22 assists and tied for the team-high in digs with seven.
Cleuza Porto led Lynn with 14 kills on a hit percentage of 0.324 and five digs. Lydia West added eight kills, while Claire Angelich notched six kills and three blocks. Cristina Llorens recorded five kills and racked up match-highs in attack rate (0.556) and digs (8). Marisa Tandron dished out a match-high 33 assists.
